Tips Washing Baby HairIf the hair and the skin are clean, the head’s crust won’t appear. For a new mother, you don’t need to worry about how to wash the baby’s hair safely. Here are some tips:

Since the very first day, baby’s hair should be washed, and it is advisable to be done every day. It is so that the dead cells and dirt won’t pile into crusts in the head’s skin. Washing the hair can be done while bathing baby.

Here are the steps to wash the baby’s hair:

  • Prepare shampoo, wash cloth, baby’s brush comb, hair lotion and other bathing equipments near the bath tub. You can bathe him first before washing the hair.
  • Rinse the baby’s head with warm water starting from the front to the back. Take the wash cloth, pour some shampoo on top of it and squeeze until it foams. Wipe the wash cloth while giving a soft massage in the head.
  • Rinse the hair and head’s skin until it is completely clean slowly. Keep the direction from front to back. Try to keep the water away from the baby’s face. Though the shampoo is harmless to the baby’s eyes, he would still feel uncomfortable if there is water getting inside the eyes.
  • Dry the body and the baby’s head. Dress him as usual. If necessary, smear some hair lotion which is safe in order to make the hair stay fragrant and smooth then comb the hair.

Use shampoo specially formulized for babies which is clinically proven to be safe and harmless for the baby’s eyes.
