In this particular posting, I want to try to provide the method on how to stimulate your baby’s development language skill that could be conducted at every time and everywhere. Here the stimulations are:

  1. Encouraging their hearing skill by making several sounds from the other part of the room. Every time you making sound, wait until they look at you (it means they know the location where the sounds are produced) and then give them a compliment by doing it.
  2. Telling them a story along with the expression and conduct it feelingly. As could as possible make a sound variation during you telling the story.
  3. When you and your baby at the outside, talk to him or her about everything what you see. Giving a comment about the objects, for example about the color of grass or the size of the bus. If she or he pays attention to the objects that are commented by you, then you could give a further comment about it.
  4. When you talk to your baby doesn’t mean you talk to something that can’t answer or give a respond in return. Talk to them as if you talk to an adult, so when you ask a question to them, you must give them an adequate time before they answer the question (actually they won’t give the answer, but you have to act as if they will respond to your question). This method explains about the rotation concept when they are getting involved to a conversation.
  5. Showing the cards containing pictures and continuing by mention what picture it is. Conduct this activity not more than two minutes every day.
  6. As they start to babble, you can try to resemble their sound combination and repeat it in front of them. They are very delighted when you resemble their babble.
  7. Mentioning the name of the objects that are used by you. The research showed that nine-month baby is able to know more than we do suspect. You can ask them a question, such as “where is the ball?”, watch their eyes, if they understand of what you asking, they will look for the ball.

Maybe there are still many methods on how you can stimulate the development of your baby’s language skill. But, in this post I only put 7 points. Hopefully you’ll like it.
