Start from this post, I will share the developmental milestone based on baby’s age instead of based on development category as I had written before. From the initial life, a baby starts to develop continuously in amazing rate. You’ll see how fast they can learn many new things once you’ve teach them.
So, here is the development of 1 month and 2 months baby.
1 Month Baby:
- Able to lift her head for a second when she is in tummy-position.
- Respond to sounds, blink her eyes when seeing lights, stare and focus to face that she look at.
- Start to feel like produce sounds, such as “oooh” and “aahh”.
- Turn to the sounds and noises resource that have been already known well.
- Looking and staring white and black pattern.
Even, some babies are able to:
- Follow moving object that is in distance of 15 to 20 cm in front of her.
- Smile in responding your smile.
- Laugh.
- Lift her head with angle of 45 degree or even until upright when she is in tummy position..
2 Months Baby:
- It should be your baby have been able to smile responding your smile.
- Her eyes are able to follow moving objects.
- Able to produce sounds besides her crying.
- Repeatedly saying “oooh and “aahh”.
- Start to conduct fine movements.
- Able to lift her head uprightly.
- Start to reach objects.
- Unite her both hands.
- Her feet start to support her weight.
Even, some babies are able to:
- Lift her head calmly with angle of 45 degree when she is in tummy position.
- Also lift her chest and head at the same time.
Always watch your baby’s developmental milestone and see how they develop a new skill for the first time in their life. For me, this activity is very pleasant since I always curious to know what new skill will be developed by her, it is fun and enjoyable, isn’t it? Hopefully this developmental milestone of 1 month and 2 months baby can be helpful for you.
