Continuing the series of baby’s development month by month, this post will tell you about the development of 7 months and 8 months old baby. At this period of age, she starts to become more active by developing her forward movement, such as crawling. So, prepare your house for her activities, assure that the environment are safe for her.
By 7 Months
- Baby is able to sit without any help.
- Able to produce screechy sound.
- Resemble to make sounds.
- Try to reach her toys that are far from her range.
- Eat crackers by herself, or touch food.
Some babies are even able to
- Start to crawl or make forward movements.
- Angry when her toys are grabbed by you or someone.
- Play peek-a-boo.
- Differentiate your emotion based on your voice tone.
- Moving object from one hand to another.
- Start to feel worry with strangers and pull herself.
- Stand by holding on something.
- Wave her hand when saying goodbye.
- Throw objects down forcefully by together.
- Saying “mama” and “dada”.
- Learn how to stand from her sit-position.
- Walk by resting on furniture.
By 8 Months
- Baby starts to crawl.
- Sit without help.
- Move object from one hand to another.
- Responding when her name are calling.
- Like to bite objects.
- Grab a spoon when you feeding her.
- Leave when she is already finished eating.
- Saying “mama” and “papa” to her parents (usually not specific).
Some babies are even able to
- Stand while holding on something.
- Crawling well.
- Try to stand from sitting position.
- Walk while resting on furniture.
- Clap and throw object down forcefully.
- Realize that there are strangers around her and pull herself away.
- With many different moves, she tries to indicate different desire.
- Use her thumb and fingers to nipped and to hold.
- Standing by herself for a second.
- Understand what “no” word mean, but usually doesn’t want to obey it.
- Wave her hand when saying goodbye.
