Communication ability in baby will pass through few stages. Your baby will slowly learn using words in order to express of what they see, of what they feel, of what they hear and of what they think along with their development of mental, emotional and also behavioral. Researchers believed that before a baby said their first word they actually had observed the language rules in adult around them and the language way used to be by adult in the communication.
Generally, a baby starts to learn talking in their first two years of life. Your baby will start to try using their tongue, their lips, their palate, and also their new teeth in order to produce sounds (the first producing sound usually is a kind of “oohh” and “aahh”, before they start to babble). Afterwards, the “mama” and “papa” words follow to be said. After this phase, your baby’s vocabulary is getting richer. It’s about one to two years old that your baby will start to be able in arranging two to three words and then spill it out.
However, baby’s talking ability can’t be separated from their hearing ability. By listening people talking, your baby learns on how to say words and how to form sentences from words. Nevertheless, there are researchers believed that the understanding of language in baby had been started when they still in the womb. A fetus that is still in the womb is able to hear mother’s heart beat and mother’s voice. A few days after birthing, your baby is able to make a difference between your voice and someone else’s voice.
Show an orange in front of your baby’s face. Say “orange, orange, orange…” to your baby repeatedly. Let them to feel its texture or you can try to clings the fruit to their nose. Do this thing for three days in a row. In the next three days, do the same things as you’ve done with orange but with the different fruit, you can use apple instead. In the seventh day, show orange and apple at the same time to your baby. Afterwards, saying “orange” to your baby, and observe whether they will see to the orange direction or not? Do not be disappointed if they have not been able to differentiate between orange and apple, don’t give up for trying later. This is a process and certainly need time. The point is stay giving your smile to your baby and embracing them after through this exercise.
