Are there any things we can do to prevent cold-sniffles’ virus to be not suffered by our baby? I can say that you can’t hold back the virus to contagious your baby or even yourself. But, there are several steps that you can do to prevent your baby to be infected by cold-sniffles’ virus and also to boost baby’s immune system at the same time.
Here are the steps that you can do:
- Assure that every family member clean their hands first before doing contact or touch/hold the baby. Besides, always keep away your baby from someone that are sick.
- Try to always prevent dehydration in your baby since it is easier for cold-sniffles’ virus to infect baby when her nose-membrane is in dry condition.
- Always keep your baby away from cigarette smoke. Baby who are exposed by cigarette smoke will be more vulnerable to be infected by cold-sniffles’ virus and will be longer to be healed when suffering cold-sniffles.
- Give your baby breast milk as long as possible. Although it is not an exact action to prevent cold sniffles, many observations had proven that baby who is given breast milk will be rarer to be sick than who is not.
Hopefully those 4 simple steps could help you in preventing cold sniffles’ virus to infect your baby.
