Fetus’ Development
In order to monitor fetus’ development, you can observe your abdominal enlargement and also your weight gain. In the first semester, your weight should gain at least 500 grams per week. Fetus’ Movement
Fetus’ movement initially can be felt when your pregnancy age enters 20 weeks. Fetus normally moves minimum 10 times per day or once per hour. If you don’t feel her movements, don’t worry, she might be sleeping. If you don’t feel it for long time, you can stroke your belly by slightly push or knock it. If fetus show its movement, then it is normal. Another way to wake your fetus up is by ringing the bell above your belly. Monitoring Table
In order to make the monitoring of your fetus easier, you can make a simple table comprised of three columns, which is “Day”, “Time”, and ‘Movement Number’. At least you have to take 3 times per day to rub your belly in order to feel fetus’ movement and also count it. You have to be relax, you can lie down to the left so that the uterus doesn’t suppress the blood vessel above uterus. The fetus’ movements usually have a rhythm or wave remembering that fetus is in the fetal membrane full with water. Every time fetus kicking, punching, or moving, then note it on the table. For example, on Monday at 8.00 am, fetus moves for 6 times, at 12.00 am moves for 4 times, and at 8.00 pm moves for 8 times, totally your baby has moved for 18 times in a day, it is normal.
